Crafting Social Media to facilitate Peace and Cultural Education in the Bangsamoro Region

In partnership with the Bangsamoro Bureau on Cultural Heritage (BCH-BARMM) and other organizations, the project BangsakulTOURa under the Equal Access International – Philippines conducted a Youth Peace Building and Cultural Education Training for young Bangsamoros as part of the Peace Promotion Fellowship . The activity was held yesterday, February 16, 2020 in the MSU-TCTO Marine Science Museum, Sanga-Sanga, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

With the Theme: “Peace Building through Technology: Crafting Social Media to facilitate Peace and Cultural Education in the Bangsamoro Region,” BCH-BARMM lend a hand in encouraging the younger generation to be advocates of the Bangsamoro Cultural Heritage through the Lakbay Kultura Program facilitated by Tawi-Tawi Provincial Coordinator Ifrad D. Hussin.

Mr. Ifrad D. Hussin who was also an alumni of OURmindaNOW TechCamp of the Equal Access International – Philippines presented the various cultures in the region including the brief history on the root cause of conflict in Mindanao and a video presentation of the authentic Bangsamoro Cultural Dances.

The BangsakulTOURa Project is part of the Peace Promotion Fellowship under Equal Access International-Philippines which also include other organizations such as Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) and Tumpukan Bangsa Sama, Inc – Youth Sector.
