Fostering Partnerships for the Sake of Learning
TAWI-TAWI — Bureau on Cultural Heritage – BARMM in its efforts to preserve and promote the Bangsamoro culture and heritage takes pride in inculcating learning and appreciation to the young pupils of Panglima Damsik Islamic Academy in Bohe’ Basag, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi held last January 24, 2020.
Through a collaborative partnership with Equal Access International Philippines Peace Promotion Fellow Ms. Aiyn S. Eldani, Provincial Cultural Officer Mr. Ifrad D. Hussin led the Lakbay Kultura presentation to the 48 pupils of the said inistitution. Most of these pupils were awe and inspired of the colorful traditions and practices each of the Muslim ethic tribes has to offer as they it is their first-hand encounter of these concepts.
Lakbay Kultura is an avenue that aims to promote understanding and preservation of the Bangsamoro culture and heritage that serves as a flagship intervention in instilling consciousness and pride of the Bangsamoro identity towards the younger generations.
