BCH-BARMM PARTNERS WITH CHED-BARMM FOR THE FORMULATION OF A FRAMEWORK AND COURSE OUTLINE FOR THE WRITING OF BANGSAMORO HISTORY

BCH-BARMM Executive Director Ardan D. Sali was invited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED-BARMM) headed by its Officer-in-Charge, Commissioner Amor B. Pendaliday, Ed. D., to be a Resource Speaker during the Focus Group Discussion on Writing and Teaching Bangsamoro History held at Pagana Kutawato Restaurant and Hotel, Cotabato City on November 18, 2019.

On his message, E.D. Sali focused attention on the Institutional Approach to the Promotion of Bangsamoro Heritage. He emphasized that the Culture has a significant role as a pillar of sustainable development, and that the BCH-BARMM, as the cultural arm of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, is willing to assist the CHED-BARMM to fulfill this project and move towards the healing of the historical wounds and injustices committed to the Bangsamoro.

Also present in this event is the Bureau’s Director 1, Datu Habib Ambolodto, and DMO-III, Ms. Fairdauz Jamaila P. Sucol.

This Focus Group Discussion is one of the series of activities proposed for the Formulation of a Framework and Course Outline for the Writing of Bangsamoro History and its Integration in the Curriculum of Higher Education Institutions in Bangsamoro ARMM Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10908 and Republic Act No. 11054. This project aims to integrate the Bangsamoro History in the curriculum, textbook, and reading materials of the higher education institutions within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
